Unchained Capital

Unchained (Unchained Capital, Inc.) is an Austin, Texas bitcoin-native financial services company built around collaborative multisig custody. Clients hold bitcoin in 2-of-3 multisig vaults where the client holds two keys and Unchained holds one, so no single party — including Unchained — can move funds unilaterally, and clients can recover independently with open-source tooling such as Caravan and Sparrow. On top of that custody base Unchained offers a trading desk for buying and selling bitcoin directly to cold storage, bitcoin-backed loans, the Unchained IRA (Traditional, Roth, SEP and 401(k) rollovers), business and trust vaults, inheritance planning, and — through Gannett Trust and Gannett Wealth Advisors — fiduciary trust and wealth advisory services. Unchained publishes no public REST or GraphQL API; its public developer surface is a set of open-source bitcoin libraries (unchained-bitcoin, unchained-wallets, hermit, and the Caravan multisig coordinator, now maintained in the caravan-bitcoin organization) plus an llms.txt for AI agents.

Unchained Capital is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, Financial-Services, and Custody.

Unchained Capital’s developer surface includes support, engineering blog, pricing, signup flow, changelog, and 11 more developer resources.

Regulatory Posture applies to this provider. Its tags matched the Securities & Market Data regime (on an ambiguous tag, where no other regime matched), so Regulatory Posture carries 15 points of the composite. If this regime is wrong for your business, say so on your provider repo — the applicability map is public and we will correct it.
The six quality facets above are damped to 85 points between them, because the conditional facet above carries the other 15. That is why each facet's contribution is shown against a damped maximum: raising a quality facet moves the composite by 85% of its nominal weight, not 100%. The full arithmetic is at apis.io/rating/.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/unchained-capital: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. Want it done for you?
