Fundrise

Fundrise is a Washington, DC based financial technology company that gives individual investors direct access to private-market alternative assets — private real estate, private credit, and venture capital — through a family of non-traded funds it sponsors and manages. Founded in 2012 and an early user of the SEC's Regulation A+ exemption, Fundrise packages institutional-grade private investments into low-minimum vehicles bought and held entirely online. Its developer-facing surface is Fundrise Connect, a REST API that lets banks, brokerages, investment apps and other financial platforms natively onboard their own end users (\"Clients\") into Fundrise offerings: create and update Clients, retrieve open Offerings and their historical daily NAV, fetch the offering documents and acknowledgments a Client must sign, place and cancel investments, request and cancel share liquidations, and read back holdings, transactions and tax forms. Access is gated — partners request credentials from the Fundrise Connect team — and the API is documented publicly with an OpenAPI 3.1 definition.

Fundrise publishes 9 APIs on the APIs.io network, including Acknowledgments API, Authentication API, Clients API, and 6 more. Tagged areas include Company, Financial-Services, Investing, Real-Estate, and Private Credit.

Fundrise’s developer surface includes documentation, API reference, getting-started guide, signup flow, support, engineering blog, and 18 more developer resources.

scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics applies to this provider. This API accepts writes, so it carries 10 points of the composite. It is scored from the published contracts themselves: whether a caller can create-or-update in one call, whether the write accepts a key the caller already holds, and whether the response says which branch ran. Without that, every write needs a search-and-branch in front of it, and the first time that check is skipped a duplicate record is created. Scored against the observed mean rather than raw — a provider at the catalog average is unchanged by this facet, not penalised by it.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/fundrise: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. description: "### Getting access \nTo get started, please contact the support team via <a href=\"mailto:connect@fundrise.com\"\
    \ target=\"_blank\">connect@fundrise.com</a>.\n### Terminology\n - <strong>Client</strong>: This refers to an End-User\
\ or customer that a Partner onboards onto Fundrise for investing in Fundrise assets.\n - <strong>Partner</strong>: This\
\ refers to a company working with Fundrise to provide their End-Users or customers access to Fundrise assets.\n\n###\
\ Access issues\nTo ensure a safe, secure platform, Fundrise imposes strict access controls to all APIs. As such, there\
\ may be services or capabilities documented that are inaccessible with current permissions. Contact the support team\
    \ via <a href=\"mailto:connect@fundrise.com\" target=\"_blank\">connect@fundrise.com</a> to gain permissions for additional\
\ endpoints or to receive customized support for specific issues or concerns.\n### Security Models\nFundrise's API supports\
    \ two different HTTP security schemes:\n- PartnerBasicAuthentication\n- ClientBearerAuthentication\n\nThe appropriate\
\ security scheme per endpoint is identified in the documentation. \nPartnerBasicAuthentication and ClientBearerAuthentication\
\ use values that should be treated as sensitive data. Fundrise requires encrypted storage of these values with necessary\
\ controls to limit access. All information returned must be treated in full compliance to the end-user agreements.\n\n\
    #### PartnerBasicAuthentication \nAccess an endpoint using Partner credentials in HTTP Header. \n\n PartnerBasicAuthentication\
\ is enforced by HTTP Basic Authentication. A Partner username and password will be provided by Fundrise support. \n \
\ The Partner password should be stored securely. At a minimum, it should be encrypted at-rest and access restricted to\
\ services making requests to the Fundrise API.\n The Partner password should not be exposed to a Client or any of their\
\ devices. If the password is compromised please contact Fundrise support.\n\n\n#### ClientBearerAuthentication \nAccess\
\ an endpoint using an OAuth access token associated with a specific Client. \n\n ClientBearerAuthentication is enforced\
\ by HTTP Bearer Authentication and requires an OAuth access token. \n Since access tokens are scoped to specific Clients,\
\ they identify and authenticate the Client in a request.\n\n\n Access tokens can be obtained in <a href=\"#tag/Authentication/operation/GetAccessToken\"\
    >Get Access Token</a> requests by using the refresh token flow.\n OAuth refresh token are issued on <a href=\"#tag/Clients/operation/CreateClient\"\
    >Client Creation</a> and scoped specifically to that Client.\n The refresh tokens will not expire and should be stored\
\ securely after Client creation. At a minimum, refresh tokens should be encrypted at-rest and access restricted to services\
\ making requests to the Fundrise API.\n Refresh tokens should not be exposed to a Client or any of their devices."

note: 'Renamed from MCPServer 2026-09-03 (roadmap#247): the manifest self-describes as status: candidate — a tool list derived
from the published API contracts, not an existing server. The scorer already read the manifest and reported mcp_server
correctly; the MCPServer type was crediting the artifact-type surfaces with a server that does not exist.'
