Brim Financial

Brim Financial is a Toronto-based Canadian fintech (founded 2017) that operates a fully-integrated, API-first credit-card Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). It is not a chartered Schedule I or Schedule II bank; it describes itself as the only fintech in North America licensed to issue credit cards, and it delivers Credit-Cards-as-a-Service (CCaaS), loyalty/rewards, BNPL, and money-movement infrastructure to banks, credit unions, fintechs, and large brands (clients include Manulife Bank, Laurentian Bank, Canadian Western Bank, Affinity Credit Union, and Air France-KLM). Brim is registered under Canada's Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA) to Bank of Canada standards and was admitted to Payments Canada as a payment service provider, and has partnered with Mastercard to embed open-banking capabilities. Although Brim markets a comprehensive API-first platform, that API is delivered to enterprise/embedded-finance partners through a commercial onboarding relationship: as of this review there is no public, self-serve first-party developer portal, no downloadable OpenAPI/Swagger, and no operational consumer-driven-banking (open-banking) API, consistent with Canada's voluntary, not-yet-live open-finance framework.

Brim Financial is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Financial Services, Banking, Canada, Fintech, and Credit Cards.

Brim Financial’s developer surface includes support, engineering blog, and 11 more developer resources.
