OAI-PMH
OAI-PMH is the Open Archives Initiative protocol for harvesting metadata from repositories. Six verbs over HTTP let an aggregator discover what a repository holds and collect its records incrementally. It is how institutional repositories became collectively searchable without a central database.
Also known as Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting, OAI.
Providers that carry OAI-PMH 161
These providers' own APIs.json profiles carry OAI-PMH as a tag — the provider's statement that the standard is part of what it does. APIs.io has not verified the implementation on this page; the de facto profiles on this site are where that measurement exists. Ordered by Kin Score; the top 60 of 161 are shown, and the tag page lists them all.
Read from the API Evangelist standards directory. Provider links come from the catalog's own identity tags and are rebuilt nightly. If this page is wrong about a standard or a provider, say so.
