HEDNA

HEDNA (Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association) is a not-for-profit trade association founded in 1991 and headquartered in Forest Hill, Maryland, United States, that convenes the hotel distribution industry — hotel chains, GDS operators, OTAs, switches, channel managers, payment providers and connectivity vendors — around shared best practice for hospitality electronic distribution. It sits alongside rather than inside the distribution chain: it moves no inventory and processes no bookings, but its Disciplines (Connectivity, Content Distribution, Payments, Data & Analytics, Revenue Optimization) produce recommendation documents, and it co-authored the Open Payments Alliance Standards Specification with HTNG and OpenTravel. HEDNA publishes no developer portal, no API, and no machine-readable specification on hedna.org; every probe of developer./developers./docs./api. subdomains and of /developers, /api, /docs, /openapi.json, /swagger.json, /api-docs and /.well-known/ failed (DNS failure or HTTP 404). Its publications library, research reports and HEDNA U courseware are gated behind paid membership at members.hedna.org (HTTP 403 Cloudflare challenge unauthenticated) and pathlms.com/hedna. Honest posture: member-gated documents, no public API, no exit path published.

HEDNA is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Travel, United States, Hospitality, Hotels, and Distribution.

HEDNA’s developer surface includes engineering blog, pricing, signup flow, YouTube channel, and 21 more developer resources.

Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/hedna: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
