Digits

Digits Financial, Inc. is an AI-native accounting software company founded in 2018 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, by Jeff Seibert and Wayne Chang. It builds what it calls the world's first Agentic (Autonomous) General Ledger — a suite of custom-trained models and agents that auto-book the majority of business transactions in real time to keep books continuously closed rather than reconciled monthly. The platform covers automated bookkeeping and categorization, vendor research and enrichment, reconciliation, financial reporting and dashboards, bill pay, invoicing, automated accrual schedules, and an agentic month-end close, and it is sold to small businesses, startups, and the accounting firms that serve them. Its developer surface is the Digits Connect API — a REST API over the general ledger authenticated with OAuth 2.0, documented at developer.digits.com and served from connect.digits.com — alongside a webhooks surface and a hosted MCP server that exposes read-only ledger access to AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT. Digits has raised roughly $97M from investors including Benchmark, GV, SoftBank, Bessemer Venture Partners, G Squared, and 20VC, and its shares trade on secondary marketplaces such as Forge Global ahead of any public listing.

Digits is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Accounting, Bookkeeping, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting.

description: Digits Financial, Inc. is an AI-native accounting software company founded in 2018 and headquartered in San Francisco,
California, by Jeff Seibert and Wayne Chang. It builds what it calls the world's first Agentic (Autonomous) General Ledger
  — a suite of custom-trained models and agents that auto-book the majority of business transactions in real time to keep
books continuously closed rather than reconciled monthly. The platform covers automated bookkeeping and categorization,
vendor research and enrichment, reconciliation, financial reporting and dashboards, bill pay, invoicing, automated accrual
schedules, and an agentic month-end close, and it is sold to small businesses, startups, and the accounting firms that serve
them. Its developer surface is the Digits Connect API — a REST API over the general ledger authenticated with OAuth 2.0,
documented at developer.digits.com and served from connect.digits.com — alongside a webhooks surface and a hosted MCP server
that exposes read-only ledger access to AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT. Digits has raised roughly $97M from investors
including Benchmark, GV, SoftBank, Bessemer Venture Partners, G Squared, and 20VC, and its shares trade on secondary marketplaces
such as Forge Global ahead of any public listing.

- digits
x-duplicate-note: 'This repo was created from the secondary-market harvest backlog against the Forge Global private-stock
listing at forgeglobal.com/digits-financial_stock/. Verified during the 2026-08-04 enrichment pass: "Digits Financial" is
the legal entity name of Digits (digits.com), the San Francisco AI-native accounting company — the SAME company already
profiled TWICE in the network, at all/digits-com (10 API entries, 8 refined OpenAPIs harvested from the Digits Connect API,
plans, rate-limits, finops, agentic-access, collections, blogs, Kin Score history) and again at all/digits (3 API entries,
a rich artifact tree spanning asyncapi, conventions, sandbox, skills, llms, well-known, lifecycle, errors and data-model).
Both are LIVE on apis.io as separate providers. No parallel artifact tree was generated here on purpose: a third profile
would split one company across three apis.io pages and three Kin Scores. Per the duplicate-provider-retirement procedure
the survivor should be chosen by depth and slug convention (slug = domain), which points at digits-com; this slug — and,
separately, all/digits — should be merged into it and tombstoned in api-search/network/_data/retired.yml rather than enriched.'
x-scaffold-warning: Flagged for the scaffold-fabrication sweep, not for this repo but for all/digits. That repo's three "APIs"
  — "Digits Llms.txt API", "Digits Sitemap.xml API" and "Digits .well Known API" — are derived from https://digits.com/openapi.json,
  a 3.6KB marketing-site document whose only paths are /llms.txt, /sitemap.xml, /.well-known/mcp.json and /.well-known/mcp/server.json.
Those are static site files, not an API product. On that basis all/digits scores composite 57.6 (strong) while all/digits-com,
which holds the REAL Digits Connect API contracts, scores 37.0 (thin) — the scores are effectively inverted, matching the
known Cisco fabricated-contracts pattern. Harvest the real spec before reconciling the two.

  note: STEP 0b contract discovery run against digits.com, connect.digits.com, developer.digits.com, my.digits.com and mcp.digits.com.
Real surfaces DO exist and are recorded below as evidence, but they were deliberately NOT saved into this repo — they
belong to the surviving profile, not to a duplicate stub. my.digits.com is a single-page-app catch-all that answers HTTP
    200 with a byte-identical 55KB HTML shell for every path including /.well-known/agent-card.json and /.well-known/agent.json,
so those 200s were correctly rejected as false positives per the pipeline contract. No A2A agent card exists on any Digits
    host. mcp.digits.com does not resolve.
key_finding: developer.digits.com publishes an RFC 9727 /.well-known/api-catalog linkset pointing at three live OpenAPI
documents. The primary one — https://developer.digits.com/openapi/openapi.yaml — is OpenAPI 3.0.3 "Digits Connect API"
v1.0, 182KB, 73 paths / 88 operations, servers https://connect.digits.com, bearerAuth. The copy held by the survivor repo
    (all/digits-com/openapi/_original/digits-com-openapi.yml) is 17.7KB with 23 paths / 24 operations — roughly a quarter
of the live surface. The survivor's spec is stale and should be re-harvested from the api-catalog.
