Enel X

Enel X is the advanced-energy-services business line of the Enel Group, an Italian multinational utility headquartered in Rome. Enel X delivers smart energy products and services across electrification, e-mobility, demand response, virtual power plants, and distributed energy resource (DER) management for residential, commercial, industrial, public-sector, and utility customers. Its principal offerings include the Enel X Way app and network for electric-vehicle charging (the consolidated successor to JuicePass and JuiceNet), the JuiceBox and JuicePedestal hardware lines, the JuiceNet Utility Edition managed-charging platform, the DER.OS / DER optimization software (now run as Calibrant Energy in North America after Enel's 2023 divestiture of its North American demand-response business), Enel X Flex flexibility management software, and VPP Connect, a set of API endpoints that lets third-party DER operators — OEMs, automation providers, and equipment manufacturers — aggregate EV chargers, batteries, HVAC systems, heat pumps, and other controllable assets into Enel's virtual power plant and earn revenue from demand-response and grid-services programs via either the open Automated Demand Response (oADR) protocol or a custom Enel API. Enel X exposes additional non-public surfaces — including the emobility.enelx.com OAuth/charging endpoints used by the Enel X Way mobile apps — but does not publish OpenAPI specifications, SDKs, or a developer portal; VPP Connect documentation is delivered under partnership agreement after a guided onboarding process. The official Enelx GitHub organization has effectively no public engineering presence, and the legacy JuiceNet public API has been deprecated as part of the platform migration to Enel X Way.

Enel X is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Energy, Smart Energy, Distributed Energy Resources, DER Management, and Virtual Power Plant.

Enel X’s developer surface includes GitHub presence, YouTube channel, and 11 more developer resources.
