Cypress

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation was a San Jose, California semiconductor company founded in 1982, and an early Mayfield venture investment. It designed and manufactured mixed-signal, embedded, and connectivity silicon — most notably the PSoC programmable system-on-chip microcontrollers, WICED Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless combos, USB controllers (EZ-USB), NOR flash and SRAM memory, and automotive Traveo microcontrollers — supported by the ModusToolbox and PSoC Creator developer tooling and the Cypress Developer Community. Infineon Technologies AG acquired Cypress in April 2020 for approximately 9.4 billion dollars; the business, its developer community, and its GitHub repositories have since been folded into Infineon. cypress.com now redirects to infineon.com and the developer resources live at community.infineon.com. Cypress shipped hardware SDKs and embedded toolchains rather than a public web/REST API, so there is no independent HTTP API surface to catalog for this entity — this profile documents it as a historical, acquired provider.

Cypress is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Semiconductors, Hardware, Microcontrollers, and Embedded.

Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/cypress: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
