Pico

Pico was a creator-monetization and CRM platform for online creators, publishers, and media companies, built in New York and backed by Bloomberg Beta. It combined an audience CRM with email capture, landing pages, paywalls, memberships, and subscription payments in a single tool so creators could identify their audience, gate premium content, and convert readers into paying members. Pico raised a $6.5M round in 2021 ("Pico 2.0") and a $10M Series A in 2023, when it rebranded to Hype (hype.co) and refocused on link-in-bio, lead generation, and growth tools for creators, gyms, coaches, and athletes. In February 2026 Hype was acquired by MMA.inc and the product was wound down. The developer API — authenticated with an X-Api-Key header and documented at docs.trypico.com — is retired: the API host api.trypico.com no longer resolves, the reference bucket has been deleted, and hype.co now serves only an acquisition notice directing users to support@hype.co.

Pico publishes 1 API on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Creator Economy, CRM, Memberships, and Payments.

Pico’s developer surface includes support, authentication, and 5 more developer resources.

Regulatory Posture applies to this provider. Its tags matched the Payments regime, so Regulatory Posture carries 15 points of the composite. If this regime is wrong for your business, say so on your provider repo — the applicability map is public and we will correct it.
The six quality facets above are damped to 85 points between them, because the conditional facet above carries the other 15. That is why each facet's contribution is shown against a damped maximum: raising a quality facet moves the composite by 85% of its nominal weight, not 100%. The full arithmetic is at apis.io/rating/.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. detail: Pico became Hype and was acquired by MMA.inc in February 2026 — the API host api.trypico.com is now NXDOMAIN and
the docs.trypico.com reference returns an S3 "NoSuchBucket" 404, so the entire developer surface has been deleted rather
