Physna

Physna is a geometric search and 3D deep-learning platform that lets you search, compare, analyze, and organize 3D models and physical parts by their actual geometry rather than by filename or metadata. Its public REST API (v2, OpenAPI 3.0) exposes model ingestion and reprocessing, geometric search (part-to-part, part-in-part, part, scan, visual, and geo-related matches), image-based search, collections and folders, model/collection metadata and metadata keys, assembly-tree traversal, match reports, user management, and client-credential provisioning. The API is JSON over HTTPS, is authenticated with OAuth 2.0 through Physna's Okta authorization server, and is used to detect duplicate designs, discover alternative components, and organize design inventory across manufacturing, engineering, and AI training use cases.

Physna publishes 8 APIs on the APIs.io network, including ClientCredentials API, Collections API, Deprecated API, and 5 more. Tagged areas include Company, Artificial Intelligence, 3D, Geometric Search, and Manufacturing.

Physna’s developer surface includes authentication, documentation, API reference, getting-started guide, engineering blog, support, signup flow, and 16 more developer resources.

Kin Score

Kin Score Kin Score How this is scored →
scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics applies to this provider. This API accepts writes, so it carries 10 points of the composite. It is scored from the published contracts themselves: whether a caller can create-or-update in one call, whether the write accepts a key the caller already holds, and whether the response says which branch ran. Without that, every write needs a search-and-branch in front of it, and the first time that check is skipped a duplicate record is created. Scored against the observed mean rather than raw — a provider at the catalog average is unchanged by this facet, not penalised by it.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/physna: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
