Hourglass

Hourglass is a DeFi protocol and time-bound token (TBT) infrastructure that invented a primitive for tokenizing staked, locked, or time-committed on-chain assets, letting holders trade their place in a lock-up queue for early liquidity. Its products include an RFQ marketplace built on OpenSea's Seaport for trading time-bound tokens, non-custodial on-chain vaults (including the Pre-iUSDT stable vault and the sunset Hourglass Boost product), and institutional-grade yield infrastructure that bridges on-chain DeFi capital with traditional capital markets. TBTs are semi-fungible ERC-1155 tokens issued by Hourglass custodian smart contracts on Ethereum. Launch partners included Lido, Frax, and Convex. Founded in 2022 and backed by a $4.2M seed round led by Electric Capital, with Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, and others participating.

Hourglass is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, DeFi, Blockchain, Ethereum, and Tokenization.

Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/hourglass: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
