Flick

Flick is an AI filmmaking studio that lets creators direct short films with AI on an infinite, node-based canvas. Rather than a linear prompt-to-clip generator, Flick gives directors a nonlinear workspace to plan, iterate and assemble complete narratives of any length — generating scenes, keeping character faces and styles consistent across shots, controlling shot composition, and editing images by reference. The product is a web app with a free tier (300 credits) and paid plans from $5/month, plus a Creative Partner Program and a Filmmaker Residency for AI filmmakers. Flick was founded by Ray Wang (previously a founding engineer on the Instagram AI team) and award-winning filmmaker Zoey Zhang, and is Y Combinator- and GV-backed. Flick publishes product documentation, a blog and a verbatim llms.txt, but does not currently expose a public developer API, SDKs, webhooks or an MCP server — the /api/ surface is an internal application API that robots.txt explicitly disallows.

Flick is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Video, and Filmmaking.

Flick’s developer surface includes documentation, getting-started guide, engineering blog, pricing, signup flow, support, YouTube channel, and 10 more developer resources.

scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/flick: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. portfolio entry (https://www.flickapp.com) is a DIFFERENT, DEFUNCT company — a sports fan-engagement group-chat app founded
in Edinburgh by FanDuel co-founders Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones; it is deadpooled and flickapp.com now resolves to an unrelated
Indonesian gambling spam site (verified 2026-07-20, soft-404 catch-all returning HTTP 200 for every path). That domain has
been removed from this profile. This repo now profiles the LIVE company from the GV portfolio: Flick (https://flick.art),
the AI filmmaking studio. The defunct flickapp.com company should be tracked separately (or dropped) rather than conflated
  here.'
