Databricks Asset Bundles

Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) provide an infrastructure-as-code approach to managing Databricks data and AI projects. Bundles enable version control, CI/CD, deployment, and management of Databricks resources such as jobs, pipelines, apps, schemas, experiments, and model serving endpoints across workspaces using the Databricks CLI. Databricks renamed the product to Declarative Automation Bundles on 2026-03-16; the DABs acronym, the databricks.yml configuration file and the `databricks bundle` command surface are unchanged. The contract is a first-party JSON Schema for databricks.yml published in the databricks/cli repository and readable at runtime with `databricks bundle schema` — there is no OpenAPI, because bundles are driven by the CLI rather than by an HTTP API of their own.

Databricks Asset Bundles publishes 1 API on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include CI/CD, Data Engineering, Databricks, Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code.

The Databricks Asset Bundles catalog on APIs.io includes 1 JSON-LD context and 2 Spectral governance rulesets.

Databricks Asset Bundles’ developer surface includes developer portal, getting-started guide, documentation, authentication, FAQ, changelog, pricing, and 59 more developer resources.

Kin Score

Kin Score Kin Score How this is scored →
scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/databricks-asset-bundles: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
