APIContext

APIContext (formerly APImetrics) is a synthetic API testing, monitoring and conformance platform. It calls the APIs you depend on from cloud locations around the world on a schedule, measures latency and availability from the outside in, validates responses against expected schemas and security profiles, and enforces SLOs with alerting, dashboards and reports. The platform monitors REST APIs, browser journeys and — since 2025 — MCP servers, exports its telemetry over OpenTelemetry to nineteen downstream destinations, and publishes an API directory with performance data on 300+ top API providers. Its own platform API is a 325-operation OpenAPI 3.1 contract served at client.apimetrics.io across two live versions, with an Auth0 OAuth2 tenant, a Go command-line client and provider-authored Agent Skills.

APIContext publishes 16 APIs on the APIs.io network, including Platform API, Calls API, Schedules API, and 13 more. Tagged areas include API Directory, API Monitoring, Agent Skills, Conformance, and MCP Monitoring.

The APIContext catalog on APIs.io includes 1 event-driven AsyncAPI specification.

APIContext’s developer surface includes documentation, API reference, getting-started guide, support, changelog, engineering blog, pricing, and 28 more developer resources.

Kin Score

Kin Score Kin Score How this is scored →
scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics applies to this provider. This API accepts writes, so it carries 10 points of the composite. It is scored from the published contracts themselves: whether a caller can create-or-update in one call, whether the write accepts a key the caller already holds, and whether the response says which branch ran. Without that, every write needs a search-and-branch in front of it, and the first time that check is skipped a duplicate record is created. Scored against the observed mean rather than raw — a provider at the catalog average is unchanged by this facet, not penalised by it.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/apicontext: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
