WebSockets
WebSocket is a communication protocol, standardized by the IETF as RFC 6455 and maintained as a living standard by the WHATWG, that provides full-duplex communication channels over a single TCP connection, enabling real-time, bidirectional data exchange between client and server.
Also known as WebSocket, WSS, Web Sockets.
Providers that carry WebSockets 98
These providers' own APIs.json profiles carry WebSockets as a tag — the provider's statement that the standard is part of what it does. APIs.io has not verified the implementation on this page; the de facto profiles on this site are where that measurement exists. Ordered by Kin Score; the top 60 of 98 are shown, and the tag page lists them all.
