Payworks was a Munich-based payment-infrastructure company backed by Speedinvest, building a mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) payment-gateway platform that let acquirers, PSPs and ISVs turn commodity smartphones and tablets into card-accepting terminals via a developer SDK and gateway.
