Medrobotics

Medrobotics Corporation was a Raynham, Massachusetts surgical robotics manufacturer, founded as CardioRobotics, that built the Flex Robotic System — an articulating, steerable robotic endoscope platform cleared by the FDA in 2015 and CE-marked for minimally invasive procedures in otolaryngology, colorectal surgery and gastroenterology, and deployed at roughly thirty hospitals worldwide. The company was a medical device manufacturer, not a software vendor: its product was an operating-room capital robot and its single-use accessories, and it never operated a developer program, a public API, an SDK or a developer portal. Medrobotics filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts on 2022-01-24 (case 1:22-bk-10077), following judgments in the Endobotics litigation, and in June 2024 the Chapter 7 trustee liquidated the entire 40,000-square-foot Raynham plant at auction — 23 complete Flex and Flex360 systems plus roughly 22 terabytes of technical specifications, customer lists and other intellectual property. The company is defunct. Its domain, medrobotics.com, is now a parked page served by a domain-parking network and its registry nameservers are NS1/NS2.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM. This profile is retained as an honest zero: there is no API surface to catalog, and there never was one.

Medrobotics is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Medical Devices, Surgical Robotics, Robotics, and Healthcare.

Regulatory Posture applies to this provider. Its tags matched the Health regime, so Regulatory Posture carries 15 points of the composite. If this regime is wrong for your business, say so on your provider repo — the applicability map is public and we will correct it.
The six quality facets above are damped to 85 points between them, because the conditional facet above carries the other 15. That is why each facet's contribution is shown against a damped maximum: raising a quality facet moves the composite by 85% of its nominal weight, not 100%. The full arithmetic is at apis.io/rating/.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. x-note: 'Third-party secondary-market venue listing (Forge Global), NOT a page Medrobotics serves. Previously carried type
"Website", which asserted on the company''s behalf that this is its own site — it is not. The company''s own domain, https://medrobotics.com/,
answers HTTP 200 with a domain-parking shell on every path, so there is no live first-party website to point at and no
Website pointer is emitted. Probed 2026-08-25: forgeglobal.com returned 403 behind a Cloudflare interstitial (a bot challenge,
not a dead page), so it is retained rather than removed.'
