Link A Media

Link_A_Media Devices (LAMD) was a privately-held fabless semiconductor company founded in March 2004 by storage industry veterans and headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It built signal-processing and data-recovery technology — read channels, error correction and System-on-Chip blocks — that storage OEMs combined with their own proprietary logic to build custom controller SoCs for hard disk drives and NAND flash. Its product lines were MagLINK (magnetic/HDD) and FlashLINK (NAND/SSD), sold as IP and silicon to drive manufacturers rather than as a developer-facing service. The company targeted higher areal density, lower cost per gigabyte, improved drive robustness and higher manufacturing yields. LAMD is no longer an operating independent company: its website was live through January 2013 and the domain is today a parked for-sale listing. It never published a public API, developer portal, or SDK, so there is no API surface for the API Evangelist enrichment pipeline to capture.

Link A Media is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Semiconductors, Storage, Solid State Drives, and Hard Disk Drives.

x-status-evidence: linkamedia.com served the company site continuously in the Internet Archive through 2013-01-14, then has
no captures until 2024-08-08 (301) and today resolves to an abovedomains.com parked for-sale page (HTTP 200, probed 2026-07-19).
Related domains lamd.com (afternic lander) and link-a-media.com (sedoparking) are likewise parked. No live company, developer,

x-enrichment-verdict: Enrichment attempted 2026-07-19 and correctly produced no API artifacts. This company predates and sits
outside the API economy — it sold storage controller IP and silicon to OEMs. Do not re-run the enrichment pipeline against
this slug; there is nothing to find. Retain as a historical portfolio-graph node only.
