Foodvisor

Foodvisor is a French mobile nutrition platform whose app identifies food items from a photograph using computer vision and returns nutritional information — calories, macronutrients and portion estimates. Between 2023 and 2025 Foodvisor also sold that capability to developers as the Foodvisor Vision API, a commercial image-recognition and nutrition-analysis service documented at vision.foodvisor.io. That developer product has since been withdrawn: the Vision product page now returns HTTP 404, the documentation host no longer resolves in DNS, and the live site carries no API, developer or enterprise content. Foodvisor today publishes no machine-readable contract, no SDK, no MCP server and no /.well-known document, and operates as a consumer subscription app.

Foodvisor publishes 1 API on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Artificial Intelligence, Computer-Vision, Food, Health, and Nutrition.

Foodvisor’s developer surface includes signup flow and 8 more developer resources.

scored 2026-09-14 · rubric v0.22.0
Regulatory Posture applies to this provider. Its tags matched the Health regime, so Regulatory Posture carries 15 points of the composite. If this regime is wrong for your business, say so on your provider repo — the applicability map is public and we will correct it.
Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
The six quality facets above are damped to 85 points between them, because the conditional facet above carries the other 15. That is why each facet's contribution is shown against a damped maximum: raising a quality facet moves the composite by 85% of its nominal weight, not 100%. The full arithmetic is at apis.io/rating/.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/foodvisor: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. x-retired-note: The Foodvisor Vision API performed food detection and nutritional analysis from images under a commercial
agreement. Its product page (https://www.foodvisor.io/en/vision/) returns HTTP 404 and its documentation host (vision.foodvisor.io)
is NXDOMAIN from three independent resolvers as of 2026-09-10; the live marketing SPA declares no /vision/ route and its
78KB translation bundle contains no "vision", "developer", "docs", "enterprise" or "business" string. No baseURL is recorded
because Foodvisor never published one to a public URL that survives — the endpoint was shared with customers under contract
    — and API Evangelist will not infer one from the mobile app or from third-party wrappers. humanURL points at the company
site because the API's own page is gone.

facts including calories and macronutrients. Endpoint and authentication details were issued to customers under a commercial
agreement and no public OpenAPI specification was ever published. The product page and the documentation host have both
been taken down; see the lifecycle artifact for the dated evidence.
