LeapYear Technologies

LeapYear Technologies built an enterprise platform for differentially private analytics and machine learning, letting organizations compute over highly sensitive data and share it across internal silos and external partners with mathematically proven privacy guarantees. LeapYear Core was licensed, self-hosted software rather than a public multi-tenant API: customers ran their own server and reached it through a first-party Python client, with every computation drawing down a quantified privacy exposure budget enforced by the server. Snowflake announced its intent to acquire LeapYear on 2023-02-07 and closed on 2023-02-10 for USD 62.0 million in cash, primarily for talent and developed technology, folding the differential privacy capability into its Global Data Clean Room offering. The company no longer operates independently, leapyear.io is now a Snowflake-controlled redirect, and the only surviving first-party documentation is the Python client API reference on its readthedocs host.

LeapYear Technologies is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, AI Infrastructure, Differential Privacy, Data Privacy, and Machine-Learning.

LeapYear Technologies’ developer surface includes documentation, API reference, getting-started guide, authentication, and 9 more developer resources.

Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/leapyear-technologies: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts.
