Around

Around was a video-calling application built for designers, developers, and product teams, known for floating circular "heads" that cropped participants to their faces so the call could sit on top of the work rather than dominate the screen, plus echo prevention that let several people call from the same room. Around was acquired by Miro in June 2022, operated for a period as Around by Miro Labs, and was shut down on 31 March 2025, with features such as echo prevention and reactions folded into Miro's own video collaboration surface. The around.co domain is now parked on the GoDaddy/Afternic aftermarket and the product, developer portal, and any API surface are gone. This profile is retained in the API Evangelist network as a historical record; there is no live API to catalog.

Around is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Video, Video Conferencing, Collaboration, and Remote Work.

Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/around: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. x-enrichment-note: 'Enrichment probe 2026-07-20 (re-verified): Around shut down 2025-03-31 following its June 2022 acquisition
by Miro. around.co now delegates to ns1/ns2.afternic.com and https://www.around.co/ redirects cross-host to forsale.godaddy.com/forsale/www.around.co.
  Every probed path (/.well-known/security.txt, /openid-configuration, /oauth-authorization-server, /api-catalog, /ai-plugin.json,
  /llms.txt, /docs, /developers, /api, /openapi.json) returns HTTP 200 from the GoDaddy parking catch-all — status codes alone
are misleading here. All the .well-known and spec paths serve text/html whose body is a JS redirect to /lander, not the
advertised media type. TRAP WORTH NOTING NETWORK-WIDE: /llms.txt returns text/plain and is a genuinely well-formed llms.txt,
  but it is GoDaddy''s auto-generated FOR-SALE llms.txt describing the domain listing (Buy-It-Now / Make-an-Offer / escrow
terms) — it is not Around''s and must never be saved as a searched LLMsTxt artifact. https://new.around.co no longer presents
a valid certificate for that name (TLS unrecognized_name). The GitHub org github.com/around is real and domain-verified
for around.co, but publishes only .github, around (product issue tracker), and around-oss (open-source license attributions)
  — no OpenAPI, SDK, or specification repositories. No OpenAPI/AsyncAPI, packages, MCP server, well-known documents, changelog,
sandbox, or security program exist to search, generate, or derive. Zero artifacts written: any would be fabrication.'
