AppNeta

AppNeta is a network performance monitoring (NPM) platform for the distributed, cloud-connected enterprise, now delivered as a Broadcom product under its IT Operations Management / Network Management portfolio. AppNeta Performance Manager continuously measures network paths, delivery quality, usage, and end-user application experience across SaaS, cloud, and internet paths using a combination of active (synthetic) and passive monitoring from distributed monitoring points. It exposes a RESTful API (v3 for AppNeta Classic and v4 for AppNeta with Intelligent Alarms) for programmatic access to monitoring policies, web paths, web applications, alarm connectors, and event/observer integrations, authenticated with API access tokens. As of February 2026 the API interface and documentation were upgraded from Swagger to OpenAPI 3.0. AppNeta was originally an independent, Battery Ventures-backed company before joining Broadcom.

AppNeta publishes 2 APIs on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Network Monitoring, Network Performance Monitoring, Observability, and Application Performance Monitoring.

AppNeta’s developer surface includes documentation, API reference, authentication, support, engineering blog, and 8 more developer resources.

scored 2026-09-08 · rubric v0.20.0
Create-or-Update Ergonomics could not be measured. We hold no machine-readable contract for this provider to read, so there is nothing to measure a write surface against. Excluded rather than scored zero: never-measured and measured-empty are different facts. Publishing an OpenAPI is what makes this facet — and several others — scorable at all.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. Every facet and dimension name above is a link: it opens that measurement's own page — what it means, the exact checks that feed it, how the whole catalog distributes on it, and the providers at the top of it. This rating is computed from github.com/api-evangelist/appneta: open an issue to ask a question, or submit a pull request to add artifacts. and developer documentation lives on Broadcom TechDocs. The AppNeta REST API is served from each customer's own APM appliance
host (pattern <appliance>.pm.appneta.com/api/v3|v4), so there is no single public production baseURL and no publicly harvestable
  OpenAPI to capture.
