Hound Labs

Hound Labs was a breath-measurement company founded in 2014 in the San Francisco Bay Area that built the HOUND CANNABIS BREATHALYZER, an ultra-sensitive analytical test that identifies THC molecules in breath down to picogram levels and so narrows cannabis detection to a two-to-three hour recent-use window rather than the days-to-weeks window of urine testing. The company shipped its first commercial product, the HOUND CANNABIS BREATHALYZER Collect + Send, in 2023 into construction, energy, gaming, manufacturing and transportation employers, pairing the handheld device with the Hound Labs Retriever results portal for paperless chain-of-custody and result delivery. The business now trades as Hound Diagnostics, whose about page states it is "formerly known as Hound Labs" and which sells Hound Breathalyzer, Hound Screens (a customizable panel covering cannabis plus up to nineteen substances), Hound Chart (a HIPAA-compliant cloud results platform) and Hound Check background screening. The original houndlabs.com host has been decommissioned and now answers a Flywheel "Unknown Domain" 404 behind a TLS certificate that does not cover the name; neither the retired domain nor the live successor site publishes a developer program, API reference, SDK, or machine-readable contract of any kind, so the products are sold and delivered as devices plus a customer-facing web dashboard rather than as a programmable surface.

Hound Labs is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Diagnostics, Drug Testing, Medical Devices, and Occupational Health.

Regulatory Posture applies to this provider. Its tags matched the Health regime, so Regulatory Posture carries 15 points of the composite. If this regime is wrong for your business, say so on your provider repo — the applicability map is public and we will correct it.
The six quality facets above are damped to 85 points between them, because the conditional facet above carries the other 15. That is why each facet's contribution is shown against a damped maximum: raising a quality facet moves the composite by 85% of its nominal weight, not 100%. The full arithmetic is at apis.io/rating/.
Improve this rating by publishing the missing artifacts — every area above can be raised, and the full rubric is at apis.io/rating/. detail: Hound Labs sells a handheld cannabis breathalyzer and, as Hound Diagnostics since the rename, a HIPAA-compliant
results dashboard called Hound Chart, but the dashboard is an end-user web product with no developer portal, no API reference
and no login host of its own — the whole site is a five-page brochure whose only call to action is a demo request form,
and the retired houndlabs.com is now a Flywheel "Unknown Domain" 404 served under a certificate that does not even cover
    the name.
