CrowdGather

CrowdGather was an online forum and message-board network operator, surfaced as a portfolio company of battery-ventures and added to the API Evangelist network as an enrichment lead. The company is defunct — crowdgather.com no longer serves a product and resolves to a GoDaddy parking lander, and no developer portal, documentation, API, or specification survives on any host. This profile is retained as a verified-negative record so future enrichment runs do not re-probe it from scratch.

CrowdGather is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company.

x-enrichment-note: 'Enrichment pass 2026-07-20 (confirms and extends the 2026-07-18 probe). Company is defunct: no live product,
API, developer portal, docs, or OpenAPI. No provider artifacts could be truthfully created — no fabrication. Verified findings:

  (1) WILDCARD SOFT-404 — crowdgather.com serves HTTP 200 for EVERY path, returning the same GoDaddy parking stub that JS-redirects
to /lander. A control request for a nonsense path returned 200 with identical bytes. So the 200s from /.well-known/security.txt,
  /openid-configuration, /oauth-authorization-server, /api-catalog, /ai-plugin.json and /openapi.json are ALL false positives,
not published artifacts. /llms.txt returns parking robots.txt content (robots syntax, not llms.txt format) and is likewise
not provider-published. Future runs must not record these status codes as real discovery documents.

  (2) DNS — crowdgather.com on GoDaddy nameservers (domaincontrol.com) pointing at parking IPs. api., developer. and docs.crowdgather.com
do not resolve. Google MX and SPF/DMARC (p=none) records persist, i.e. mail config outlived the product.

  (3) PACKAGES — no first-party client libraries anywhere: npm search 0 results, RubyGems 0, Packagist 0. PyPI /project/crowdgather/
returns 200 but is a soft-404 (JSON API says "Not Found"; control path also 200).

  (4) GITHUB — github.com/crowdgather exists (control path 404s, so the account is real) but has ZERO public repositories,
no description and no content. Ownership by this company could not be verified, so no GitHubOrganization pointer was emitted
  — an empty, unattributable account is not a developer surface and claiming it would game the rating.

No DomainSecurity artifact was written: probing TLS/DNS of a parked lander for a company with no API would add a scored
pointer carrying no real provider signal.'
