Cisco Bug API

The Bug API exposes the Cisco defect database: lookup by bug ID, by base product ID with or without a software release, by product series or product name against affected or fixed-in releases, and free-text keyword search. It is how an operator finds out whether a symptom in production is a known Cisco defect, and whether a candidate upgrade release fixes it, without opening a TAC case first.
