Robot Operating System (ROS and ROS 2)

ROS is the middleware most modern robotics software is built on — a node, topic, service and action model with a large ecosystem of drivers, planners and tools. ROS 2 rebuilt it on DDS for real-time, multi-robot and production use, replacing the original central master with a discovery model suited to fielded systems.

Providers that carry ROS 11

These providers' own APIs.json profiles carry ROS as a tag — the provider's statement that the standard is part of what it does. APIs.io has not verified the implementation on this page; the de facto profiles on this site are where that measurement exists. Ordered by Kin Score.

Read from the API Evangelist standards directory. Provider links come from the catalog's own identity tags and are rebuilt nightly. If this page is wrong about a standard or a provider, say so.
