EU Taxonomy Regulation
Regulation
European Union
· 2020
Regulation (EU) 2020/852 establishes a classification system defining which economic activities count as environmentally sustainable, with technical screening criteria per activity across climate mitigation, adaptation, water, circular economy, pollution and biodiversity. Companies and financial products report the proportion of turnover, capital expenditure and operating expenditure that is taxonomy-aligned — turning sustainability into a per-activity calculation rather than a narrative.
