Teachworks is billed as a monthly subscription with a base fee plus a per-student-lesson usage charge, where a lesson with multiple students counts as multiple student lessons. There are three plans - Starter, Growth, and Premium - each with unlimited students, teachers, and user accounts and a free 21-day trial. API access is included only on the Growth and Premium plans; the Starter plan does not include the Teachworks API. Higher plan tiers pay a larger base fee in exchange for a lower per-student-lesson rate, so the cost model rewards higher lesson volume with a higher plan.
