Paddle is a merchant of record, so its pricing is charged as a percentage plus a fixed fee on each successfully processed transaction rather than as a per-API-call or per-seat platform fee. The published Standard rate is 5% + 50 cents per transaction, which bundles payment processing, global sales tax and compliance, fraud protection, churn recovery, localized checkout, and support. Larger and rapidly scaling businesses can negotiate Custom pricing. The Paddle Billing API itself is included; there is no separate charge to call the API.
