Event Management Software indexes 122 providers publishing 1,046 APIs. Three score exemplar, and all three are Cvent: Cvent at 78.0, Cvent Registration at 76.9 and Cvent Event Cloud at 71.9. Cvent Social Tables adds a fourth Cvent record at 63.5, strong. Below that, the category thins quickly. There are 30 providers in developing, 26 thin, 30 emerging and 28 minimal.
The eight strong-or-better records also carry a membership problem, and it deserves naming first.
Ticketing means two things
Membership is computed from tags, and “Ticketing” is one of them. It pulls in the support-ticket sense of the word alongside the box-office sense. Eighteen members are help desks, IT service tools, CRMs and carriers admitted that way: Hiver, NinjaOne, Atera, Gorgias, Tidio, Udesk, Erxes, Entergram and Supaglue among them. Three of them, Erxes at 65.6, Entergram at 61.0 and Supaglue at 57.9, sit in the strong band. That means three of the category’s eight strong-or-better scores belong to companies that do not run events. Bus and rail booking arrives the same way, through FlixBus, Trainline and Wanderu. The tag is doing its job. The vertical needs to tell the two meanings apart.
The functional bands, event companies only
| Band | Providers (Kin Score, Agent Readiness) |
|---|---|
| Registration and event platforms | Cvent (78.0, 42.6), EventX (56.0, 34.2), Splash (48.3, 23.0), Events.com (48.0, 32.7), Swoogo (40.2, 22.3), Bizzabo (24.4, 5.0) |
| Virtual and hybrid | Airmeet (50.3, 18.2), Demio (48.4, 35.8), ON24 (42.0, 22.8), Hubilo (40.7, 30.8), RingCentral Events (39.1, 25.2) |
| Ticketing and marketplaces | StubHub (49.2, 30.4), SeatGeek (40.8, 34.4), Ticketmaster (39.7, 22.9), Eventbrite (36.0, 17.3) |
| Venues and attractions | ROLLER (52.7, 25.5) |
What the record shows
The biggest names score in the thirties. Eventbrite scores 36.0, thin, with an Agent Readiness of 17.3. Ticketmaster scores 39.7. Live Nation Entertainment is the category’s top adopter on the demand signal and scores 23.4, emerging, from a record with one tag. The companies that sell the most tickets publish the least contract.
Agent readiness is running ahead of the score in live entertainment. Fever scores 33.1, thin, but reads 56.3 for agents and ships an MCP server. JamBase is 46.8 with 54.6 and an MCP server. Luma is 37.5 with 44.5. These are narrow discovery and listing surfaces, and a narrow, well-shaped contract turns out to be most of what an agent needs to find a show.
The event-app vendors are human-only. Bizzabo (5.0), EventMobi (2.5) and Whova (0.0) all read human-only. These are the platforms that hold the attendee, session and badge data at the event itself.
Where to start
For registration, read Cvent, the only exemplar and the model for everything below it. For a smaller platform with an MCP server, look at EventX. For virtual events, Airmeet and Demio are the best-scoring records.
Takeaway
Take out the help desks and this is a Cvent category with a long developing tail, where the ticketing giants trail the listing APIs. Two things would move it. The vertical needs a membership rule that separates box-office ticketing from support ticketing. And Eventbrite and Ticketmaster need to publish full contracts for the APIs they already operate.
