Mobility Data Specification (MDS)
MDS is the data standard cities use to regulate shared micromobility, developed by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and now governed by the Open Mobility Foundation. Unlike GBFS, which publishes availability to riders, MDS is a regulator-facing interface: a provider endpoint reporting trips and vehicle status, and an agency endpoint issuing policy such as geofenced no-ride areas and fleet caps.
Also known as Mobility Data Specification, OMF MDS.
Providers that carry MDS 3
These providers' own APIs.json profiles carry MDS as a tag — the provider's statement that the standard is part of what it does. APIs.io has not verified the implementation on this page; the de facto profiles on this site are where that measurement exists. Ordered by Kin Score.
Read from the API Evangelist standards directory. Provider links come from the catalog's own identity tags and are rebuilt nightly. If this page is wrong about a standard or a provider, say so.
