Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH)

GA4GH is the standards body for genomic and health-related data exchange, formed in 2013 by more than 400 institutions. Rather than one specification it publishes a family: htsget for streaming reads and variants, refget for reference sequences, DRS for data repository addressing, WES and TES for remote workflow and task execution, Beacon for variant discovery, and Passports/AAI for federated researcher authorization. Each is a genuine API specification with a defined HTTP surface.

Providers that carry GA4GH 1

These providers' own APIs.json profiles carry GA4GH as a tag — the provider's statement that the standard is part of what it does. APIs.io has not verified the implementation on this page; the de facto profiles on this site are where that measurement exists. Ordered by Kin Score.

Read from the API Evangelist standards directory, facts verified 2026-08-17. Provider links come from the catalog's own identity tags and are rebuilt nightly. If this page is wrong about a standard or a provider, say so.
