Amazon S3 REST API

The HTTP API of Amazon Simple Storage Service, launched in March 2006 and since cloned by MinIO, Ceph, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Google Cloud Storage’s XML API and dozens of others, which makes it the de facto standard for object storage. Flat keys listed by prefix and delimiter, HEAD for metadata, Range reads, multipart upload, pre-signed URLs for out-of-band transfer, event notifications, and — only since 2024 — conditional writes with If-None-Match and If-Match.

Providers that carry Amazon S3 API 0

No provider in the catalog carries this standard as a tag yet. That is a statement about the catalog's tagging, not about adoption: a provider that implements Amazon S3 API and says so in its APIs.json profile appears here on the next build. Add or correct a listing.

Read from the API Evangelist standards directory, facts verified 2026-10-07. Provider links come from the catalog's own identity tags and are rebuilt nightly. If this page is wrong about a standard or a provider, say so.
