A remote MCP server xCures runs on its own documentation host as part of the Redocly Realm API Hub. It exposes the documentation corpus and the six published Agent Skills as MCP tools. It is a documentation/discovery server — it is NOT a wrapper over the xCures Public API's 69 REST operations; patient, query, document, FHIR and checklist calls still go to https://partner.xcures.com over REST.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol Anthropic introduced for connecting LLM-based agents to external tools and data sources. Providers publish MCP servers that expose their API surface as structured, discoverable tools — an MCP-compatible client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue, etc.) can connect to the server and call its tools without any per-provider integration code.
