Unblocked ships an official MCP server. On macOS it is built and run by the Unblocked CLI (`unblocked mcp`, JSON-RPC over stdio), installed one-shot via `curl -fsSL https://getunblocked.com/install-mcp.sh | bash`, which auto-configures Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, and other detected agents and installs the companion Agent Skills. A hosted remote MCP server is also offered for Windows/Linux and remote setups (per-agent install guides); the OAuth authorization server backing remote MCP auth is published at https://getunblocked.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server (authorization-code + refresh, PKCE S256, dynamic client registration).

Connect

This is a remote MCP server — point an MCP client at the endpoint URL. Clients with native remote support (Claude, Cursor, VS Code, …):

For stdio-only clients (older Claude Desktop, etc.), bridge with mcp-remote:

Tools

context_research — Multi-source research across code, PRs, docs, issues, and messaging; returns a synthesized answer with citations. Supports effort levels low|medium|high.
context_get_urls — Fetches and returns the content behind one or more URLs the agent encounters (PRs, issues, docs, message threads).

About MCP

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol Anthropic introduced for connecting LLM-based agents to external tools and data sources. Providers publish MCP servers that expose their API surface as structured, discoverable tools — an MCP-compatible client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue, etc.) can connect to the server and call its tools without any per-provider integration code.
