Official hosted Rill Model Context Protocol server. Exposes Rill's governed metrics views and project files to LLMs so analysts can query predefined measures and dimensions through natural language. Also available as built-in AI Chat inside Rill Cloud. Consumes metrics views; it does not create them.

list_metrics_views — Discover the metrics views available in the project.
get_metrics_view — Fetch a metrics view's specification (its dimensions and measures).
query_metrics_view_summary — Get the available time range and sample values/types per dimension.
query_metrics_view — Run an aggregated query against a metrics view.
list_files — Browse the files in the Rill project.
search_files — Find project files by name or content.
read_file — Read the contents of a project file.
write_file — Create, update, or delete a project file (returns reconcile status).

About MCP

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol Anthropic introduced for connecting LLM-based agents to external tools and data sources. Providers publish MCP servers that expose their API surface as structured, discoverable tools — an MCP-compatible client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue, etc.) can connect to the server and call its tools without any per-provider integration code.
