Patsnap operates a hosted (remote) MCP surface as part of the Eureka Open Platform. Each MCP server is a domain-scoped bundle of Patsnap tools (patent search, life-sciences, R&D intelligence) that agents connect to over streamable HTTP. A developer picks a server in the MCP marketplace, generates a per-server connection link bound to their API key, and wires it into an MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, or a custom agent). 26 MCP servers are published across Life Sciences, IP Intelligence and R&D Innovation categories.

About MCP
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol Anthropic introduced for connecting LLM-based agents to external tools and data sources. Providers publish MCP servers that expose their API surface as structured, discoverable tools — an MCP-compatible client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue, etc.) can connect to the server and call its tools without any per-provider integration code.
