Vesselfinder Rate Limits
VesselFinder uses a credit-based quota model rather than per-second rate limiting on the AIS API. Each call deducts credits proportional to the requested datasets and the position source (terrestrial vs. satellite). The Container Tracking API enforces a per-container subscription quota and queues asynchronous requests with a recommended minimum poll interval of 60 seconds. Public, exact RPS/RPM limits are not published by VesselFinder; the limits below capture the documented quota model and the asynchronous polling guidance.
Vesselfinder Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for VesselFinder on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.
The profile also includes response codes documented for throttled and quotaExceeded.
Tagged areas include AIS, Rate Limiting, and Credits.
