Thetadata Rate Limits
ThetaData does not rate-limit paid requests; it limits CONCURRENT requests, account-wide, set by the highest subscription tier held across asset classes (tiers do not stack — extra subscriptions add data scope, not throughput). Requests beyond the concurrency limit are queued (default queue 16, configurable up to 128); overflowing the queue returns 429. Free accounts are additionally rate-limited per minute.
Thetadata Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for ThetaData on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.
It captures 6 rate-limit definitions, measuring requests_per_minute, concurrent_requests, and queued_requests.
The profile also includes response codes documented for throttled.
