Postscript Rate Limits

Published rate limits for the Postscript Partner API v2, read from the provider's own rate-limits documentation on 2026-08-13. This file replaces a 2026-05-04 scaffold whose per-tier request quotas were invented defaults; Postscript publishes a single flat per-second ceiling that does not vary by plan.

Postscript Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Postscript on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 1 rate-limit definition, measuring requests_per_second.

The profile also includes 2 backoff/retry policies defined and response codes documented for throttled and quotaExceeded.

Tagged areas include SMS, Marketing, Messaging, E-commerce, and Shopify.

Backoff Strategy
Postscript's published guidance is to watch for 429 status codes and retry on an exponential backoff schedule with added randomness (jitter) so that retries do not synchronise.
Contact on unexpected throttling
Postscript asks integrators who see a sudden rise in rate-limited requests they believe to be in error to contact support rather than engineer around it.
