Holiday API · Rate Limits

Holidays Rate Limits

Holiday API explicitly does not throttle by velocity ("No request throttling" per pricing FAQ). Limits are enforced as a single monthly request quota of 1,000,000 requests per API key, shared across all endpoints (holidays, countries, languages, workday, workdays). When the monthly quota is exceeded, the API returns HTTP 429. Live usage is reported on every successful response under the requests envelope (used / available / resets).

Holidays Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Holiday API on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 1 rate-limit definition, measuring requests_per_month.

The profile also includes response codes documented for usageLimitReached and serverError.

Tagged areas include Rate Limiting, Calendar, and Holidays.
