Google Search Console Rate Limits

Google Search Console API enforces three categories of quotas — Search Analytics, URL Inspection, and All Other Resources — measured in queries-per-minute (QPM), queries-per-day (QPD), and queries-per-second (QPS) at per-site, per-user, and per-project scopes. Usage can be tracked via the quota tab in the Google Cloud Console.

Google Search Console Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Google Search Console on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 11 rate-limit definitions, measuring requests_per_minute, requests_per_day, and requests_per_second.

The profile also includes 3 backoff/retry policies defined and response codes documented for throttled, throttledAlternate, quotaExceeded, serviceUnavailable, and note.

Tagged areas include Rate Limiting, Search, SEO, and Webmaster Tools.

Policies

Backoff Strategy
Use exponential backoff with jitter on 429 / 503 responses; respect Retry-After when present.
Quota visibility
Track quota usage via the quota tab in the Google APIs Console for the project; raise via Google Cloud support if needed.
Load measurement
Search Analytics load is measured in 10-minute (short-term) and 1-day (long-term) windows; spikes within either window can produce 429s before the per-minute limit is reached.
