Dodo Payments · Rate Limits

Dodo Payments Rate Limits

Dodo Payments enforces per-account rate limits on its REST API expressed as requests per window, returning HTTP 429 when a client exceeds the allowance. Test mode and live mode are metered independently. Specific per-endpoint request ceilings and reset windows are not reconciled in this artifact; verify them in the Dodo Payments API documentation during reconciliation.

Dodo Payments Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Dodo Payments on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 3 rate-limit definitions, measuring requests and deliveries.

The profile also includes 2 backoff/retry policies defined and response codes documented for throttled.

Tagged areas include Payments, Merchant of Record, Subscriptions, Billing, and Global Commerce.

Policies

Backoff Strategy
Clients should implement exponential backoff with jitter and honor Retry-After on HTTP 429 responses.
Idempotency
Use idempotency where supported on write operations to safely retry without duplicating payments.
