Cloudimage Rate Limits

Cloudimage's primary constraints are commercial quotas rather than per-second request throttles: monthly CDN traffic (bandwidth) allowances, included cloud storage, and a yearly allowance of AI visual operations per plan, with per-GB overage above the included CDN traffic. Video transformation has documented per-asset input limits (max 500 MB, up to 4K, first 60 seconds). The Filerobot DAM REST API may enforce its own request limits; specific numeric per-second rate limits are not publicly reconciled in this artifact.

Cloudimage Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Cloudimage on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 6 rate-limit definitions, measuring bandwidth_gb, storage_gb, operations, bytes, and resolution.

The profile also includes 3 backoff/retry policies defined and response codes documented for throttled.

Tagged areas include Image Optimization, Image CDN, Resizing, Transformation, and DAM.

Limits

CDN Traffic (Bandwidth) account
bandwidth_gb
per-plan monthly allowance (100 / 250 / 1,000 GB; custom on Enterprise)
Delivered CDN traffic; overage billed per GB above the plan allowance.
Cloud Storage account
storage_gb
per-plan allowance (25 / 100 / 250 GB; custom on Enterprise)
Storage backing the Filerobot DAM.
Visual Operations account
operations
per-plan yearly allowance (10K / 50K / 100K; custom on Enterprise)
AI/visual-AI operations (e.g. background removal, auto-tagging) consume credits.
Video Input Size request
bytes
500 MB max per source video
Larger videos are rejected.
Video Resolution request
resolution
up to 4K
Documented maximum input resolution.
Video Duration request
seconds
60 (longer videos trimmed to the first minute)
Only the first 60 seconds are processed.

Policies

Quota-Based
Usage is bounded by plan bandwidth, storage, and visual-operations allowances rather than per-second throttles.
Overage Billing
CDN traffic above the plan allowance is billed per GB (rate decreases on higher tiers).
Backoff Strategy
Clients calling the Filerobot DAM API should implement exponential backoff with jitter and honor Retry-After on 429.
