Cboe Rate Limits

The Cboe LiveVol All Access API meters usage with a points system: each request consumes points, and subscriptions carry a daily (trial) or monthly (paid tier) points allowance. 429 is returned both when request frequency exceeds rate limits and when the points allowance is exhausted. Tier 1-4 customers monitor consumption in the API Statistics dashboard on Cboe DataShop; paid tiers can buy overage per point.

Cboe Rate Limits is the machine-readable rate-limit profile for Cboe Global Markets on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Rate Limits specification.

It captures 4 rate-limit definitions, measuring points_per_day, points_per_month, and requests_per_second.

The profile also includes response codes documented for throttled and pointsExhausted.

Tagged areas include Rate Limiting and Market Data.
