Anvil enforces rate limits per API key type (development vs. production) and per subscription plan. Development API keys are more aggressively limited and produce watermarked PDFs. Production keys on subscription plans receive significantly higher throughput. The API returns standard rate-limit headers and a 429 status when limits are exceeded.
