Formation Bio

Formation Bio (formerly TrialSpark, rebranded in December 2023) is a New York-based, tech-driven, AI-native pharmaceutical company co-founded by Ben Liu and Linhao Zhang. Rather than discovering molecules, Formation Bio in-licenses and acquires clinical-stage drug assets and runs them through a proprietary, software- and AI-driven development engine that compresses clinical planning, trial execution and regulatory work. That engine is a suite of internal platforms — Delphi (probability-of-technical-success and value modeling), Atlas (clinical-stage asset screening), Forge (autonomous trial design and scenario evaluation), Apollo (trial execution, study startup, enrollment and closeout), ARK (an AI orchestration layer connecting 80+ internal systems behind one governed interface) and a unified Data Platform spanning trial data, real-world patient data, literature and standardized ontologies. The company raised a $372M Series D led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Sanofi, and built Muse, an AI patient-recruitment system, with Sanofi and OpenAI. Formation Bio's technology is internal-facing: as of this profile the company publishes no public developer portal, API documentation, machine-readable API contract, or client SDKs.

Formation Bio is profiled on the APIs.io network. Tagged areas include Company, Health, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Drug Development.

Formation Bio’s developer surface includes engineering blog, YouTube channel, and 13 more developer resources.

note: Formation Bio publishes no public API. Probed /openapi.json, /openapi.yaml, /swagger.json, /v1/openapi.json, /api-docs,
    /docs, /redoc and /graphql on www.formation.bio and app.formation.bio; probed the /.well-known/ namespace (security.txt,
    openid-configuration, oauth-authorization-server, api-catalog, ai-plugin.json, agent-card.json, agent.json) on every resolvable
host; resolved api./developers./docs./status./trust./mcp./muse. subdomains (all NXDOMAIN except app., which 404s on every
path). The Next.js site answers HTTP 200 with an SPA not-found shell for arbitrary root paths, so a 200 there is not evidence
of a document — every candidate was body-checked and every one was the "Oh no!" shell. See well-known/trialspark-well-known.yml
    for the full probe table.
no_wellknown_pointer_reason: well-known/trialspark-well-known.yml records an all-404 result; no WellKnown pointer is wired
    because no well-known document exists.
