Windmill Dev Plans Pricing
Windmill has an open-source Community Edition (AGPL) that is free to self-host, plus paid Enterprise Edition tiers available on both Windmill Cloud and self-hosted. Paid pricing (revised in early 2026) is a combination of Compute Units and Seats. A Compute Unit (CU) equals roughly 2 worker-GB-month of execution capacity - a standard worker with a 2 GB memory limit is 2 CU. Seats are billed per active user, with operator users (who can only execute scripts, flows, and apps, not author them) counted as half a seat, and external JWT users also counted as fractional seats. The REST API itself has no separate fee - it is the same surface the CLI and UI use, governed by the plan's compute and seat entitlements. Exact per-unit rates should be verified on the Windmill pricing page during reconciliation.
Windmill Dev Plans Pricing is the machine-readable pricing-plan profile for Windmill on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Plans specification.
It defines 5 plans, covering free, subscription, usage, and enterprise tiers, with named plans including Community Edition (Open Source, Self-Hosted), Windmill Cloud - Free, Enterprise - Seats, Enterprise - Compute Units, Enterprise / Custom.
Tagged areas include Developer Platform, Workflows, Internal Tools, Open Source, and Plans.
