Transitapp Plans Pricing
The Transit API is publicly documented but access is key-gated. Developers request an access key through Transit's API request form, which grants a free tier of up to 5 requests per minute and 1,500 requests per month at no cost. For higher call volumes or specific use cases, developers arrange a paid or partner agreement with Transit's partnerships team; Transit does not publish fixed per-request rates for those higher tiers - they are negotiated (Transit reports 160+ API users and 3.5 billion API calls annually across the program). Exact paid rates are not reconciled here.
Transitapp Plans Pricing is the machine-readable pricing-plan profile for Transit on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Plans specification.
It defines 2 plans, covering free and enterprise tiers, with named plans including Free (Access Key), Partner / Higher Volume.
Tagged areas include Transit, Public Transportation, Real-Time, Mobility, and Plans.
