Temporal Io Plans Pricing
Temporal has two consumption models. The core Temporal server is open source (MIT) and free to self-host with no license fee - you pay only for your own infrastructure. Temporal Cloud is the managed offering, sold in four plans (Essentials, Business, Enterprise, Mission Critical) with consumption-based billing on Actions, plus active and retained storage. Actions are the primary billable unit (starting a workflow, recording a heartbeat, sending a signal, timers, retries, etc.). Actions are volume-tiered starting at $50 per million and decreasing with scale. All APIs (WorkflowService gRPC, the HTTP API, the OperatorService, and the Cloud Operations API) are included with a namespace; there is no separate per-API-call charge beyond Actions and storage.
